The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (HASAW 1974) requires that all companies, employing 5 or more people, take all reasonable precautions to ensure the workplace is safe, not only for employees but for those people who visit and may use equipment you provide. This includes contractors, temporary staff or members of the public.

Under the Health and Safety at Work ACT 1974, it is COMPULSORY that you provide suitable training to the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.

Many companies are under the impression that this does not apply to them because they are primarily an office environment. This is a misconception that can have serious consequences. Most back and spinal pain is caused by continual bad lifting, twisting and stretching and not single trauma injuries.

Our training includes the use of theory, props, tuition and practical lifting techniques to teach you how to lift, carry, move and transport objects safely. Courses are tailored to your exact needs.

Training usually takes around 3 hours and can be carried out at weekends or evenings and is excellent value for money. The training can be carried out at your premises or at an arranged venue to minmise the disruption to your business.
